Alonso ve Hamilton

Formula 1’de Avustralya GP’sinin ardından şampiyonluk için favori olarak Sebastian Vettel gösterilmeye başlandı. Ancak pist üzerindeki rekabetin farklı boyutları da ortaya çıkıyor.

McLaren’in 2008 şampiyonu Lewis Hamilton, Alonso’nun bu yıl ve her zaman en büyük rakibi olacağını belirtti: “Her zaman en büyük ve en yakın rakibimin Fernando Alonso olacağını düşünürüm. Eğer biz Prost ve Senna isek onu benim Prost’um olarak görüyorum.”

İngiliz pilotun bu açıklaması akıllara Alonso'nun geçen sezon öncesi yaptığı benzer bir yorumunu akıllara getirdi.

2010 sezonu öncesinde Ferrari ile anlaşan Fernando Alonso, "2007'de Lewis Hamilton ile aynı takımda yarışmak gelişmeme yardımcı oldu ve bugün Ferrari'ye gelebilecek düzeye ulaştım" ifadelerini kullanmıştı.

McLaren'de aynı takımda oldukları süre boyunca aralarının hep açık olduğu ve anlaşamadıkları iddia edilen Hamilton ve Alonso'ya dair bir dip not daha: İki şampiyon pilot, yarış hafta sonları dışında birbiriyle mesaj atıp selamlaşıyorlarmış...

Peter Sauber Giden Puanlara Yanıyor

Avustralya yarışında çok iyi performans göstererek otoritelerin dikkatini çeken Sauber pilotlarının topladıkları 10 puan, otomobilin kanat yapılarında belirlenen ölçülere uymadığı gerekçesiyle diskalifiye edilmesi sonrası silinmişti.

Sauber takımının sahibi Sir Peter Sauber, yaşanan bu olay sonrası takımın teknik sorumlusu James Key'i kovacağına dair söylentilerin gerçek dışı olduğunu söyledi.

Bu konuda yorum yapmak istemediğini, önümüzdeki günlerde resmi bir açıklama yapacaklarını belirten Peter Sauber "Giden 10 puan içimizi çok acıttı. Bu olay kolay iyileşmeyecek yaralar açmıştır. Ancak kimseyi kovmuyoruz." dedi.

Newey: "McLaren RB7'nin Egzozunu Kopyaladı"

Kış testlerindeki hayal kırıklığına rağmen, sezonun ilk yarışında müthiş bir performans göstererek Hamilton ile podyuma çıkan McLaren'in sırrını rakibi açıkladı.

Geçen sezonun şampiyonu RB6 ve bu sezona hızlı bir başlangıç yapan RB7'nin tasarımcısı Adrian Newey, "McLaren bizim egzoz sistemimizi kopyaladı." dedi.

McLaren takımı, kış testlerinde araçla ilgili dayanıklılık sorunları yaşadıktan sonra var olan egzoz sistemini daha basit bir tasarımla değiştirdiklerini açıklamıştı. Red Bull'un dahi tasarımcısı Newey, bu sistemin RB7'deki egzoz sistemi olduğunu iddia ediyor.

RB7'deki sistem ekstra downforce üretmek için sıcak çıkış gazlarının arka difüzere kanalize ediyor.

Newey, Reuters'e yaptığı açıklamada, "McLaren sistemi çalıştırmış gibi görünüyor. Bizi epey zorlayabilirler. Bizi, bizim tasarımımızla geçerlerse çok üzülürüm" dedi.

Above: Nicholas Ellis of Oxford, Connecticut sent us these photos taken at a pig roast mud bog. The truck is a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L V8 with a 317. Other upgrades include an aFe intake, full Gibson exhaust system, and free-spin hubs for the front axle. Lift kit is a Rough Country 7" with a 3" body lift. Future plans include new 8-lug axles. Nick has done quite a bit of mud bogging with his Dodge truck, and has also won a few contests with it.
