Allari Naresh's films are usually a laugh riot.Offlate, his school of films have become so popular with the audience that he is now Tollywood's most bankable star. He has six films in his kitty and no dates until an year now. Naresh's previous films 'Kathi Kaanta Rao' and 'Aha Naa Pellanta' were good hits. In continuance with this, he has come out with 'Seema Tapakay' on Friday. We watched this film today to measure the entertainment value in it... This is what we feel about Naresh's Seema cracker....
Story
Krishna(Allari Naresh) is the younger son of business tycoon GK(Shayaji Shinde) who has Rs 40,000 crore property. GK's aim is to quadriple his wealth and get his son married to a rich girl. But Krishna falls in love with a girl Satya(Poorna) who goes to slums and educates children. She hates all rich people and thinks they are responsiblle for world poverty. To please her, Krishna disguises himself as poor chap and convinces his family to act as vegetable sellers, fruit sellers, laundry staff et al. Meanwhile, one day a group of goons try to kill her and she is saved by family who are also goons. Turns out that Satya is the daughter of Nagineedu(Nagineedu) a factionist from Kurnool who has a rivalry with another faction leader Venkatappa(Jayaprakash Reddy). When she reveals her love towards Krishna, Nagineedu reluctantly agrees. He however wants to see his family and hence comes to Hyderabad. The rest of the story is on how the real story about Krishna's wealth is revealed, how Krishna's family gets to know about Satya's faction background and how Venkatappa reconciles with Nagineedu.
Performances
Allari Naresh is in his usual best. It is even unnecessary for us to write beyond this because Naresh has so far never disappointed the audience in his action. His comedy timing, hilarious body language, mannerisms, funny dances and trademark histrionics have not changed. They all confluence to make him the most entertaining star in the industry. He was apt for the role as a youngster in love with a girl with high moral values and social concern. The heroine Poorna is not one of those typical Mumbai imports. She was impressive with her dance, action, glamour and sensible expressions. In a song, she wore Malayali dancer's attire and danced in the beach. She looked well trained and groomed. Poorna is certainly an actress to be taken serious and if given a good role, she has all it takes to be a bigger starlet. Shayaji Shinde was different from his usual father of a hero roles. The comedy factor attached to his performance made him bearable. Nagineedu urgently needs to get rid of his 'Rayalaseema' image from 'Marayada Ramanna'. In this movie too he is a factionist from Seema. How many more movies will he play the same role? L B Sriram got a good role after a long time. Bramhanandam is a waste of time and is silly. We are confused if the directors are hiring him for better satellite rights or if they have an obligatory understanding with him to cast him in movies. Otherwise, his role doesn't make any sense in this script. He is cliched, boring, half as funny as his height and irritatingly stupid. Bramhy is surely loosing his value as he is too greedy to perhaps do as many films and finish 1,000 movies soon.
Sudha, Surekha Vani and Jayaprakash Reddy are decent and convincing. Sudha who is usually a mother with tears, shocked the audience with her comedy antics.
Clapworthy moments
The dialogues in this movie are super funny.Take this for instance,
"Choodu, Buttane Choodu.. Butta Venakala Choodalanukoku... Thattulolevu.." ( a copy of Balaiah's Simha) leaves you in splits. "Chiranjeevi Koteswarudu Aithe Ram Charan Kada? Nagarjuna Koteswarudu Aithe Nagachaitanya kada? Ramanaidu Koteswarudu Aithe Venkatesh Babu Kada?" from Allari Naresh is sure to make your face go red in laugh. Allari Naresh immitates Y S Jagan's Odarpu Yatra and pulls the cheeks of a few people and smears their head even as 'Raju Vayya Maharaju Vayya' song is sung in the backdrop.
One of my favourite dialogues is "Maa Amma Kastha Jeevi, Maa Akka Sookshma Jeevi, Maa Bava Badugu Jeevi... Mari Mee annaya? Chiranjeevi".
A song on Jayaprakash Reddy which is a parady of 'Sureede Sureede..', 'Simhamanti Chinoode Vetakochade..' and 'Inumulo Hridayam Olichene..' continue the laugh marathon. The expressions of Sudha, Surekha and Shayaji Shinde when they are kept in slum house are so funny that you are sure to laugh out loud. Naresh danced well for the song 'Dhire Dhire Dhire..'. The costume designer for this film deserves a pat on the back for doing a good job. The choreography for the song 'Aakasham Lo Oka Thara' is superb. Though the songs by Vandemataram Srinivas are not great, they don't give you headache as well. A scene where a Tata Sumo is blown in the air by factionists was very well shot by the cinematographer. Old Telugu songs used in the backdrop as a mark of tragedy in the scenes makes you smile. The film is well edited and screenplay is racy.
