Photo Contest: Misc. Entries
From time to time, we receive photo submissions that qualify as "miscellaneous," at least in our opinion. This does not mean they're not worthy of consideration for the Photo Contest. All photos will be considered before we declare the $100 winner in early May 2011.
In the meantime, you still have time to submit your entry. See the Photo Contest page at The Motor Bookstore for complete details on how to enter your pictures.
Above: These are the kind of pictures your kids will take when you're not paying attention. Jason Head of California sent us this photo of his mostly-original, 1956 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton truck, a.k.a. Earl Buddy. Jason's owned the pickup since he was 16 (about 30 years).
Above: Dennis Rhodes of Maple Falls, Washington sent this photo of him and his 1973 Plymouth Duster, the car's all original with approx. 76k miles, and according to Dennis, it runs like a brand new car.
Above: Carol Drinkwater of Invercargill, South Island, New Zealand, sent us this photo of her Holden, the family car from her childhood. She returned home in June 2009 to Mulgildie, Queensland, and had this photo taken at her family's farm. She tells us that a family of seven used this beautiful car for many years. Carol found a willow family plate and the original owner's manual in the glove box.
Above: Ed Richter of San Mateo, California, offers some solid advice: "Don’t get your Jeep stuck in the mud!"
Above: Cesar Rivera of California snapped this photo of a Jeep off-roading in Azusa Canyon, CA. Our guess is that Ed Richter (previous photo), may also have some advice for the driver of this vehicle.
