As with the original Insight, Honda engineers worked hard to design and refine the styling of the new Insight Concept. The goals? Maximum functionality and peak aerodynamics for sure. But they also thought a lot about how it would feel to drive one.
The front of the car is strong and lean. The taller rear helps this 5-door hatchback slip through the air seemingly without effort. The Insight shares a family resemblance with the FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle. Sleek and sophisticated, the FCX Clarity commands attention wherever it goes.
The Insight Concept is designed with a low center of gravity and a generous 5-passenger cabin. Five-door access and folding rear seats meet the needs of an active lifestyle. Details like the use of smaller internal components that allow for more cabin and cargo space make the Insight Concept family-friendly and versatile. Finally, it’s important to note that the Insight Concept, like the original Insight, was designed and built from the ground up to be a hybrid.
So when you drive around town in the new Insight (and you can, starting in spring 2009 in the U.S.), the value will make you look smarter, but it’s the distinct style that will make you want to be seen. Insight...coollll
