Purpose Of Induction Kits.
Cold Air Intake Kit (2001-2002 Honda Civic Hybrid)
Before understanding the purpose of induction kits it would be necessary to know about the working and reason behind the presence of air filter in the car.Your car, for movement require fuel of course but the mere presence of fuel does not do the trick alone as many other ingredients are necessary to move your car which includes besides fuel, air and some sparks.Thats right now understanding the phenomenon of moving the car is that your car intakes air containing oxygen, pushes that air into the piston area of the engine and then theres a drizzle of fuel droplets which is combusted with the spark created by the car spark plugs. When fuel droplets come in the contact of a flare caused by the battery and in the presence of oxygen it causes explosion which causes the piston to move and eventually the whole car(imagine hundreds of these explosions happening per second).
Now keeping in mind the above phenomenon and the pre-requisites to move a car we can guess that without the presence of air/oxygen it would be difficult to move a conventional car and more the quality of the air i.e the more the oxygen in the air the better will be the performance of the car. This is what air filters do they intake oxygen and send it to the piston part of the engine. So if a car has an air filter with larger diameter the air filter will be able to intake more oxygen. So it is advised to keep your air filter clean in order to increase your horse power.
Now coming to the purpose of the induction kits. The idea behind introducing induction kit instead of air filter and air box is that induction kit intakes more cool air than these two without any extra effort thus allowing more oxygen because cool air contains more oxygen than warm air. This does not mean that air filter and air box are not fit for their purpose but as the time passes they become full of dust and therefore less efficient.
A normal induction kit has a cone shaped filter and necessary brackets and pipework to fit into the specific car.Good quality induction kits last for a longer time than the air filters because they can be easily washed, oiled and cleaned thus enhancing their life span. One more change which is eventually brought by the introduction of induction kit is that it makes a roaring sound thus giving car a more sporty image. So i reckon if you are a car enthusiast and looking forward to modify your car you should try these kits.Specific induction kits are available in the market for many of their respective cars but problem occurs when the model of your car is not listed so in this case you will have to buy universal kits which can fit into numbers of other vehicles after some alteration in the brackets and pipeworks.

Perodua ViVA ELITE: a new look for the Viva
Perodua launched the new Perodua ViVA Elite today, aimed at offering the market a variant with a more stylish image compared to the original ViVA. It is an aesthetic modification in the style of the Myvi SE, and at the same time they’ve revamped the model line-up a little.
The ViVA was first introduced with 660cc, 850cc, 1,000cc and 1,000cc premium variants. Now it has restructured the model lineup, offering the 660 BX MT, 660 EX MT, 850 MT, 1.0 AT, 1.0 ELITE MT, 1.0 ELITE AT, and the 1.0 ELITE EZi. That’s three different variants for the new ViVA ELITE.

Externally, the ViVA Elite has its own front bumper with integrated foglamps, front grille and its own engine hood design. On the side you’ll see chrome door handles, side skirts, and 14 inch 12-spoke alloy wheels. On the back you’ll see a new rear bumper with a honeycomb grille design, and the 1.0 ELITE EZi model (note, this is different from the ELITE AT) gets an additional rear spoiler. The windows of the ViVA Elite also feature a UV protection coating that is said to reject 91% of UV rays.
On the inside you get a new 1-DIN head unit with MP3 and WMA support, an underside tray under the passenger seat, seat backpockets, a new seat fabric design, and fabric trim on the door panels. All ViVA ELITE models will get seat height adjusters for the driver’s seat, and electrically adjustable side mirrors. On the ELITE EZi, these side mirrors are also electrically retractable and have integrated turn signals.
Only the ViVA 1.0 ELITE EZi gets a full load of safety features including dual SRS airbags for the front, ABS brakes, EBD and Brake Assist. Power steering is also only available on the ELITE models. The other non-Elite models are left with just basic features such as reverse sensors on the 850 and 1.0 model, and a CD player on the 660 EX, 850 and 1.0 model. The following are the prices for the new Perodua ViVA range including the non-Elite models:
· Perodua ViVA Elite M/T - RM37,900
· Perodua ViVA Elite A/T - RM40,900
· Perodua ViVA Elite EZi - RM44,900
· Perodua ViVA 1.0 AT - RM36,900
· Perodua ViVA 850 MT - RM32,900
· Perodua ViVA 660 EX MT - RM28,900
· Perodua ViVA 660 BX MT - RM25,300

Yamaha ox99-11 for Sale The Situation is Still good Full Specification
Yamaha ox99-11 for Sale The Situation is Still good Full Specification :
Last week we brought you the Previously little known story of the Kawasaki race car. Well, also had a Yamaha factory effort focused on the design and construction of, not exactly a race car, but an exotic supercar using a detuned version of Yamaha's then Formula One V12 engine and built to the highest levels of automotive engineering and sophistication, the car was known as the OX99-11.
One of the key individuals involved in the project, Dave Sullivan, tells us how this car came about. You might notice the extreme contrast between this effort and the Kawasaki race project. Of course the purpose was completely different but Nevertheless, it tells the story of forays into the automotive world not well known outside of those who were directly involved. Unfortunately, however, there is a similarity to these two very different stories, at the end, both projects events derailed just short of ultimate success.
There's little I can add so I'll let Dave tell you all about it:
In 1991 I was working for a company called IAD on the south coast of England. IAD were a design and engineering Consultancy for the motor industry, we had worked on the Mazda Miata, Lincoln Town Car and Bentley Continental, to name but a few. I started as a Structural engineer on the Town Car in 1988, and I was also doing chassis work by 1991.
Had conceived the Yamaha OX99-11 several years earlier, but had been struggling to find a partner who could help them realize their ambition. Strangely it was the Sporting goods division (with products ranging from Yachts to squash racquets), rather than the motorcycle arm, that was leading the project, and it was part of a master plan that included the Formula 1 engine program.
Support to the Formula 1 project Yamaha had set up a subsidiary company called Ypsilon Technology in Milton Keynes, UK, where the engines would be serviced. The factory was chosen to be big enough to produce the OX99-11 and a small team, mostly from the Aston Martin race team, were hired to set up the factory and help engineer the car.

External review submitted by Phillip Maher The Jaguar XJR-15 was powered by a 450+ bhp version of JaguarSport's 6.0 litre V12 mid-mounted engine. Built in a strictly limited number, 50, and costing around $800,000.00, the XJR-15 stemmed from Project R9R - a concept car developed by JaguarSport. The XJR-15 was designed by Peter Stevens, who went on to help develop the Mclaren F1. Its performance and limited build quantity make the XJR-15 one of the true Supercar of our time.
