Patriotic mani for memorial day.................

Happy Memorial day weekend everyone. Lets not forget what this day means, It is in memory of all those who have fought for our country past and present. I want to say thanks to everyone that has or still is serving for our country. My father served in the Army as a Blackhawk pilot and continued to work there as a truant officer intill he retired in 2007, he passed away from lung cancer in October 2009. I will always be proud of what he did for our country. He was my personal hero.

Ok on to my Mani....I first used ChG Dorothy Who as my base color, used 3 coats to get full coverage

Next I added a white base on top of DW so that Ruby Pumps would show as it's true color and not a darker red because of the blue. Colored the tips at an angle.

Then I added Stripe rite in white

Then I added Chez delaney plate T-37 for the stars. Hope you Likey, I really love it!!!!

Thanks for looking!!!!!

China Glaze Rain Storm

This is a weird polish. It's blue with purplish shimmer and purply pink glitter. I don't really get it, but it's still gorgeous.

Shown above is 4 coats. The formula on this one is terrible. It's thin and runny. It's so watery and difficult! That's why this swatch looks like crap. Yeah...it's the polish. Not my skillz (or lack thereof). But I'm willing to put up with the PITAness for a nice color.

I don't have much to say about this, but I do really like it despite it's formulaic flaws.

Almost done with my work for the year...

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle

Apparently there are two versions of this--a "bad" one and a "good" one. You can see Scrangie's comparison here. Shown above is three coats of the "good" version. I got mine from 8ty8 Beauty if you're worried about getting the "bad" one, although "bad" is really a relative term concerning a green glitter.

Originally I decided that I didn't need this because I had NYX Las Vegas. Bullhonkey. It's green glitter in a deep green jelly base. In what universe would I not need this?

I got this when it came out in the Loves You Snow Much collection, but it was originally released as part of the Sleigh Ride collection. (By the way, if you ever want to know anything about a China Glaze polish, you should check out the wiki that Jeannie made.)

I hope you're having a good Sunday morning! (Or afternoon...or evening...it's 10:15 AM here.) I made French toast for breakfast and now I'm just hanging out and watching Golden Girls.
