Photo Contest: Old Tractors and a TV Star Replica?

When we received John Stanton's entries of his fully restored 1944 Ford 2N (yes, he also has the original steel wheels) and 1952 Ford 8N, we were impressed. Then a 2nd email arrives with photos of the famous (or is it infamous) 1969 Dodge Charger "Dukes of Hazzard’s General Lee" replica. Photos like that are the equivalent of crack for gearheads like us.

John tells us that he spent 10 years working on the Charger. He took measurements off one of the original cars from the show and reproduced the car to a T... all the way down to the colors, original bumper, numbers, etc. But when you go through that trouble, why not go full "hog"? John had the original actors sign the glove compartment. Nice touch!

Note: We were afraid we'd get in trouble if we failed to mention Jefferson Davis "Boss" Hogg somewhere in this article.

This car has won first place in every car show entered in the Brookfield, Mass. area.

John's Photo Contest entries are displayed in the Ford, Ford New Holland, Fordson Tractor Repair Manuals section, and the "General Lee" pics can be found in the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth Car Repair Manuals section of The Motor Bookstore.
